Rooted in Scripture. Standing for Christ.

The Biblical Roots Ministries is a nonprofit teaching and apologetics ministry that helps believers remain rooted in Scripture, stand firm against false teaching, and flourish in Christ. Through faithful, accessible biblical teaching, we help people move from biblical confusion toward confidence in Christ—and equip them to help others do the same.
Our mission is twofold:
- Promote biblical literacy: We help believers understand Scripture through engaging Bible studies, books, articles, videos, podcasts, and live teaching.
- Defend biblical Christianity: Through biblical apologetics, we expose and refute teachings that claim biblical authority while teaching false doctrine.
Our approach reflects the two responsibilities Paul emphasizes in his instruction to church overseers (episkopos): teach sound doctrine and refute those who contradict it:
“He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.”
—Titus 1:9
How We Serve
Teach the Bible

We offer accessible, in-depth teaching through livestream Bible studies, videos, articles, books, and other resources.
Answer False Teaching

We carefully examine theological claims against Scripture and help believers distinguish biblical truth from error.
Equip the Local Church

We develop resources for pastors, teachers, small groups facing difficult biblical and theological questions.
We distribute most of our teaching without charge so that sound biblical resources are available to those who need them.
The name The Biblical Roots reflects our conviction that Christians flourish when they are deeply rooted in God’s Word and centered on Jesus Christ. Our goal is not merely to provide answers, but to help believers develop the biblical understanding and theological discernment necessary to stand firm in their faith.
Although much of our apologetic work addresses modern restorationist movements (e.g., Hebrew Roots, Torah-keepers, etc.), The Biblical Roots represents something much broader: a commitment to the whole counsel of God, rightly understood through the person and work of Christ.
What We Believe

We are committed to the truth of historic, biblical Christianity—the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3). Our teaching is grounded in the authority of Scripture and focused on the essential doctrines shared across orthodox Christian traditions. Our goal is to teach what all faithful Christians have always believed, not what divides them.
What We Affirm
We affirm the core beliefs of “mere Christianity,” including:
- The authority, inspiration, and sufficiency of the Bible
- The Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- The full deity and humanity of Jesus Christ
- His substitutionary death and bodily resurrection
- Salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone
- The universal Church as the Body of Christ, called to make disciples
- The reality of final judgment and eternal life
These foundational truths unite faithful believers across denominations and form the basis of all our teaching and apologetics work.
Our Background
While our founder comes from a conservative Lutheran tradition, Biblical Roots Ministries is not a denominational ministry. Our goal is to serve the broader Body of Christ by focusing on shared essentials and a high view of Scripture.
How We Handle Doctrinal Differences
We recognize and respect the rich diversity within the Christian Church. When issues arise that are understood differently among faithful believers (e.g., sacraments, end times, church governance), we:
- acknowledge that faithful Christians hold differing views,
- focus on biblical principles and shared convictions, and
- teach our convictions from Scripture while fairly explaining other views held by faithful Christians.
We do this not out of compromise, but out of a commitment to unity.
In essentials, unity;
in non-essentials, liberty;
in falsehoods, veracity;
in all things, charity.
